Fan Dance

I absolutely love 3.1 Phillip Lim, but from what I've personally experienced, his apparel looks amazing on the hanger but then when I actually take it into the dressing room to try it on, it quickly becomes all sorts of weird.

Mostly, it hangs/drapes super strange on me, and even though it's exactly the right size, it looks like it's far too big or small or a thousand other imagined irregularities rear their heads and leave me standing in front of the mirror, frowning, and going, "Huh?"

I usually adore the majority of his stuff but because of my experiences, I own not one single item. But with fall approaching, there is always a chance to fall in love all over again and try to make it work. Two pieces available right now that I have a high regard for include this amazing black fan skirt. Look at the gathering at the waist! I love it. Plus, I have just two black skirts at the moment (both of the gabardine pencil variety) and something in a different texture and drape such as this might be just what the doctor ordered. In a perfect world, I'd pair it with that amazing deep purple turtleneck sweater with black lace appliques, also by Mr. Lim. Muy chica fall office wear up in here!
