A Dangerous Dandy?

Forget about the stories you've heard in the past about young ladies getting kicked off of airline flights for wearing miniskirts and midriff-bearing tops.

Sebastian Horsley, a British gentleman and self-described dandy, was recently refused passage through customs in America because of his suspicious stovepipe hat! So Uncle Sam turned him away and sent him on a plane back to England. Can you think of a higher price to pay in the name of fashion?

The fact that dandyism is still practiced is fascinating to me. I'm sure if I were a biological male I'd bust out the occasional seeksucker suit, pocket square, hat, etc., but I'm not sure if I could really dive head-first into the entire dandy lifestyle.

Dandyism takes on different forms in our modern world. Author Tom Wolfe immediately comes to my mind, but I would say Vogue Editor-at-Large Andre Leon Talley, Hamish Bowles, and John Galliano embody various aspects of the dandy as well.

Who would you add to that list?
