Marc Jacobs Heels: A Lesson in Physics

Here are some detail shots of Marc Jacob's heels, if you'd technically call them that, from his new spring collection. Not all of the shoes are like this, but this is a small sampling.

This is probably a lesson in physics or something of that sort. I missed that part of my high school science education because I never moved beyond disecting cats (I refused to participate for ethical reasons). Anyhoo...

These shoes actually remind me of some chairs that my aunt and uncle used to have by their pool. I was always really afraid to sit in them because I always thought I'd immediately tip backward - do you know the kind I mean? These shoes probably work on the same principle.

I know that it's all about "Fashion," but I just can't wrap my mind around these Marc Jacobs. I'm not even sure how the models navigated the runway. They just look really uncomfortable.

Andrea Pace proudly wears size 11 shoes. Visit http://www.yourfeetmakeyouunique.com, a shoe blog created for women who wear large size shoes.

The heels touches the ground in the same place as a regular heeled shoe
If you imagine they had 'normal' block heels with the same contact patch then the shoe would work fine. I don't see how they would be any harder to walk in than a comparable normal shoe of the same height and contact patch. Ben x
